The goal for the 2,100-sq.-ft. remodel and addition was to prove MyGreenBuildings could do a highly customized green retrofit to an existing structure. “We’re showing that we can keep the existing structure and rebuild it, and do it in a seamless way with good design and architecture. The Goldenrod Green Home

The project, completed within 3 months, yielded one of the most exciting new concept homes in Florida's history. Ranking as the 2nd highest rated sustainable home in the State, we have achieved more than we intended - with a truly sustainable and livable design that engages everyone who have viewed the home since it's completion in March 2007. MyGreenBuildings used the latest and best available technologies, green products, energy efficient systems, recycled products, and vintage salvaged elements from Sarasota Architectural Salvage. The reconstruction of this home took place on a lot located "west-of-trail", within 3 miles of the downtown core, at 1876 Goldenrod Street.
